———— ABOUT ME ————

Hello there!

I’m Stacy, the human millennial behind Red Pen Romance—armed with a sharp eye for detail, an excessive number of tracked changes, and a lifelong inability to leave a typo alone.

Since I was around eight years old, I’ve been passionate about writing and editing—sharing my thoughts (via various blogs like every other millennial; look closely and you’ll probably find a few errant posts lingering around this site) or penning stories and plays I probably (most certainly) over-edited.

For many years professionally, I worked in quality management, technical editing, compliance, and document control—a.k.a. careers built around catching inconsistencies, fixing problems before they become bigger problems, and making sure things are polished, organized, and readable while facing tight timelines and extremely high stakes.

Somewhere along the way, all of that collided with my love of romance novels and indie publishing.

WHAT LIGHTS ME UP

The good stuff

I’m especially drawn to romance with strong chemistry and emotional tension, messy people making questionable decisions, and the kind of dialogue that makes you immediately text a friend while cackling at midnight.

I’m probably reading romance (duh), talking about romance, outlining creative projects I absolutely do not have time for, or convincing myself my girlfriends need more bookish friendship bracelets.

(They do not. But too bad.)

I don’t post much, but you should connect with me on Instagram and Threads.
