Fay made frenemies with a butternut squash (friends because: cart cuddles; enemies because: dinner consumption) at the grocery store, and the result was simply that my heart grew seven sizes at the sight of those eyes.
Happy Memorial Day, friends. I hope you step into your long weekend with a bit of sunshine and lots of room to take a breath or two.
Psst… See Fay’s last Baby Versus picture from December 2018 here, if you’d like.
Last October, my sister, Kim, got married (!!) to her wonderful (now-) husband, John. It’s hard to express the joy I feel to see her so truly happy.
She received her wedding photos a bit before Christmas, and although she has yet to reveal all of them to me (grrrr), she did send me the ones her photographer took of Fay with my mom and her before the ceremony.
Thrilled to officially introduce our daughter — Fay Colleen Hyatt.
She arrived a week ago on Tuesday, after 21 hours of labor (and just 12 minutes of pushing!!)… 7 lbs. 11 ounces., 19 inches long, and perfect.
It’s been a blur and whirlwind of a first week, but we are completely, head-over-heels in love with this wrinkly, tiny human. Writing here consistently has been a challenge in and of itself over the past several years, and I anticipate things to be even quieter for a while as we let New Parenthood envelope us and devote every second we can to getting to know Fay.
You can keep up with me on Instagram, if you want to catch a glimpse of more baby pictures. :)
(Psst… that house swaddle wrapped around Fay is from Little Unicorn and we officially want a dozen more in different patterns. They are so useful! Remember our discussion on baby swaddles? It’s coming in handy.)
